Stavely celebrating its 105th anniversary in August

The town of Stavely is a unique western community, steeped in agricultural traditions and history.

Give your fill of lobster at the annual Stavely Elks Club’s Lobsterfest, which takes place June 10.

The next week, take in some cowboy poetry and oldtime music at the Willow Creek Gathering, which is being held at the Stavely arena from June 16-19. There is a trade show featuring artwork and crafts.

Visit the website www.wccowboygathering.com for more information on the Willow Creek Gathering.

In late August, Stavely is planning a big birthday bash to celebrate the town’s 105th anniversary.

For details, visit the Facebook page for the event, called “Stavely’s 105th Anniversary Celebration”.

Stavely is hosting its annual Horse Show and Family Rodeo on Aug. 27, during the 105th.

Wrapping up the events for the year is the annual Glen Keeley Memorial Bullriding Competition, which this year takes place Sept. 1-2.
