Get ready to shop ‘til you drop in Olde Towne Okotoks.
The town’s unique boutique shopping district is the perfect place to find one-of-a-kind items. Located along the historic main street area of downtown Okotoks, the area hosts an impressive range of businesses, including clothing stores, home decor and gift shops. You’ll find something to satisfy your taste buds at any time of day with a delectable selection of coffee shops, cafes, restaurants and bars.
“It’s an amazing place to come and shop and dine,” said Mandy Patterson, with the Olde Towne Okotoks merchants association.
She said the area’s restaurants, shops and boutiques offer personable, one-on-one customer service. As the hub of Okotoks’ business community, the downtown area is also home to a range of important professional services including dentists, doctors and veterinarians. The Olde Towne area is also a hub of activity with numerous festivals throughout the year.
This year there will be a focus on Thursday evenings, with many shops extending their business hours and live entertainment and events taking place to encourage people to spend some time in the area.
Other events include the annual Spirit of Okotoks Parade and the popular Okotoks Light Up, which kicks off the holiday season in town in November.
Downtown merchants also join together to make Christmas shopping fun and give them a chance to get an early gift of their own with a passport program. Shoppers can take the passport to participating merchants in downtown Okotoks and receive a stamp with purchase. Once the passport is filled, enter the draw for weekly prizes and a grand prize of $1000 in Olde Towne Okotoks money!
