Want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life? Check out Chain Lakes Provincial Park, and see why everyone believes that this is a little piece of heaven — or close neighbours to it.
Chain Lakes Provincial Park, 40 km west of Nanton on Highway 22, offers breathtaking scenery for campers and boaters. This park offers some of the nicest views of Alberta’s foothills, in one of the most peaceful settings.
There are a number of walking trails of various lengths and levels of challenge throughout the park. The speed limit for boats is 12 km/h, so this lake is perfect for canoeing, kayaking, and taking life easy. The lake is stocked with rainbow trout for fishing from shore or by boat, and Mosquito Creek offers good opportunities for fly fishing. Ice fishing is a popular winter pastime at Chain Lakes.
