Region boasts abundance of musical talent

Music lovers don’t need to look any further than Black Diamond and Turner Valley to get their fill of great live tunes.

The Beneath the Arch Concert Series is a non-profit society that puts on concerts at the Flare ‘n’ Derrick Community Hall in Turner Valley monthly from September until April.

Last year season’s line-up included such talents as Barney Bentall, Sweet Alibi, Matt Masters and Jimmy Rankin. Visit www.beneaththearch.ca for more information and to purhase tickets for the concert series ’2015-’16 season.

The Stop Coffee House & Gathering Place in Black Diamond boasts an intimate concert setting that plays host to musicians around the world in a variety of genres. The Black Diamond Hotel has also developed a reputation as a popular live musice venue over the years.

Cougar’s Sports Bar and Grill in Turner Valley brings in live music and also has open mic jams and karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights.
