Region boasts abundance of musical talent

Calgary musician Matt Masters performs for the Beneath the Arch Concert series, one of seven concerts held last season.

Music lovers don’t need to look any further than Black Diamond and Turner Valley to get their fill of great live tunes.

The Beneath the Arch Concert Series is a non-profit society that puts on numerous concerts at the Flare ‘n’ Derrick Community Hall in Turner Valley.

Last year season’s line-up included such talents as New Country Rehab, the Claire Lynch Band and the Looking Glass Duo.

The Stop Coffee House & Gathering Place in Black Diamond boasts an intimate concert setting that plays host to musicians around the world in a variety of genres.

Cougar’s Sports Bar and Grill in Turner Valley brings in live music and also has open mic jams and karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights.
