The parade is just the start of a great day of activities for everyone in the family during the Spirit of Okotoks Weekend.
The Children’s Festival, formerly the Okotoks Youth Festival, will follow this year’s Spirit of Okotoks Parade on Saturday, June 20 to conclude a full day of family activities.
Saturday promises an afternoon packed with live performances and hands-on art activities for all ages from 12-4 p.m. at Ethel Tucker Park.
The highlight of the afternoon will be a performance by David Aiken the Checkerboard Guy. With decades under his belt, Aiken is a popular comedian, juggler, unicyclist and all-round performer.
There will also be an appearance by Ronald McDonald himself.
There will also be a host of different crafts, face painting, games, clowns and a range of other family friendly events for all to enjoy. There will also be a zumba demonstration and yoga for children to give both activities a try.
The free festival is held in the beautiful setting of Ethel Tucker Centennial Park, located on Riverside Drive, and runs from noon to 4 p.m.
