The quiet little hamlet of Bragg Creek won’t be so quiet for one weekend in July. There will be plenty of action at the 58th annual Bragg Creek Days July 17-19 for folks from the ages of 1 to 99.
The festivities will kick-off on Friday evening with a Free Family Movie Night at the Bragg Creek Community Centre. The evening will feature a family oriented movie and enough popcorn to make Orville Redenbacher blush. Get the children to bed early though — the whole family will want to enjoy the festivities on Saturday morning. The fun really kicks off bright and early Saturday morning at 7:30 with a delicious pancake breakfast hosted by Redwood Meadows Emergency Services volunteer firefighters. Each year the pancake breakfast attracts about 500 people who are eager to get the festivities under way. The action-packed parade is at 10 a.m.
There is live entertainment throughout the day and folks can enjoy carnival and midway games, great food and a beer garden held outside at the Bragg Creek Community Centre.
The Market Square will also be held Saturday and Sunday in which locals can display their delightful wares, craft and goodies. There will also be a show and shine on Sunday to go along with the other activities.
