The Millarville Races celebrate its 110th running on July 1. The first race was held June 23, 1905 and it has been an annual tradition ever since.
Be sure to catch one of the first events of the day, the stock horse race, which usually kicks off around noon. Local people will battle for a buckle and bragging rights as they race for a quarter mile with stock horses they use on the ranch. Also check out the paramutual thoroughbred racing.
The races will also include events for children. The races begin at noon and the cost is $10/person or $20/vehicle.
