Milo is a clean, close-knit farming community located two kilometres from the northern-most tip of Lake McGregor and easily accessed from Highway 542 from the west and Highway 1 via Highway 842 from the north.
Despite its diminutive stature, Milo has all of the amenities people should expect in a place they call home. Several key businesses serve the community, including a school, bank, library, post office, grocery store, restaurant, hotel/pub, hairdresser, mechanic service and card lock gas service. There is a beautiful community hall, which hosts dozens of events year round, a community/senior drop-in centre, a natural ice arena with two adjacent ball diamonds and a renovated curling rink and lounge.
The Village of Milo runs a fully-serviced RV campground.
A scenic 2.5-kilometre walking/bike path winds its way through the village and then takes you on a journey out to the middle of the countryside and down to the Lake McGregor dam.
Beautiful Lake McGregor is a 35 kilometre-long lake with a campground and boat launch at the northern end.
