Visitors and residents alike have a unique opportunity to spice up their lives and get a taste of what Okotoks restaurants have to offer this summer.
The Taste of Okotoks hits the streets of Olde Towne Okotoks for a celebration of foods from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 22.
“The concept is to showcase our restaurants all in one location and turn it into a festival feel,” said Mark Doherty, the community events co-ordinator for the Town of Okotoks. “There will be restaurants showcasing their fine foods and it will all be done in a sampler format.”
Foodies and those eager to experience the international flavour of Okotoks’ cuisine can purchase sampler tickets for $1 and trade 1 to 5 tickets for some delicious samples at over 30 participating vendors.
“You get an opportunity to try a variety of foods from a variety of restaurants,” Doherty said. “There will be live entertainment happening throughout the day for people to enjoy as well.”
To accommodate the food and entertainment in the heart of downtown Okotoks, a partial street closure from McRae Street to North Railway Street.
An artisan market will also feature vendors and artisans at the Olde Towne Plaza.
