Kayben Farms offers an unmatched assortment of activities for every member of the family.
Judy Kolk owns and operates the multi-faceted enterprise, a stone’s throw northeast of Okotoks, along with her husband Claude. She said Kayben Farms is a place where almost anyone can spend time experiencing a range of different activities and is open from May through October.
“It’s a destination for the whole family,” Kolk explained. “Our Sunshine Adventure Park is a favorite for families, school tours, birthday parties and corporate picnics. It boasts many kid friendly attractions including a berry bounce, a giant wheelbarrow play structure, a pedal kart track, farm animals, an indoor tots’ area and a corn maze, a seasonal fixture that typically opens in mid-August once the corn is tall enough.”
The farm is typically open in early May, but given the good weather, it has opened as of April 15. Meals and snacks are served in JoJo’s Café where the menu includes many kid friendly choices. The café attracts diners as a great spot for a sunny afternoon lunch on the patio. This summer the Kayben team is excited to continue their summer day camp program, offering a “completely unplugged” experience for children. Kayben’s summer day camps are a week of natural play, fueled by imagination, where building and creating come first.
