Claresholm Fair Days is a weekend of fun for the entire family from Aug. 8 to 10. The annual bench show takes place at the Claresholm Arena, with entries taken on Thursday. The public is welcome to view all exhibits and take in entertainment on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon. The parade starts at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning, Aug. 9, heading down Second Street West. The theme this year is, “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Upcycle!” Afterwards, there will be events in downtown Amundsen Park for the whole family to take in.
Other tentatively scheduled events include a slowpitch tournament, beef-on-a-bun, dances, and pancake breakfasts. There is a junior rodeo and the Claresholm and District Museum will host its tea on the lawn.
On Sunday, the Ministerial Association will host an interdenominational service at the community centre. The afternoon will be highlighted with the annual Show and Shine car show, put on by the Porcupine Hills Classic Cruisers at the Centennial Park ball diamonds. Signs will lead you right to the spot.
All of these events combine for a fun and exciting weekend in the Town of Claresholm.
