Bragg Creek the Gateway to K-Country

Bragg Creek is the gateway to Kananaskis Country. From gentle foothills to craggy mountain peaks this 4,000 square-mile recreation area has something for everyone.

A visitor’s information centre, just west of Bragg Creek, along Highway 66, offers a host of information about camping, picnic and hiking trails in the area. Further, along Highway 66 is the breath-taking Elbow Falls. Bordered by jutting rocks and forests of pine and spruces, the falls attract visitors throughout the year.

Enjoy the popular trail and picnic areas — you really can get your kicks along Highway 66. Although partly closed in the winter, the entire highway is open from early June to the beginning of December, making for a scenic drive as it climbs steadily into the mountains before descending to the picturesque picnic spots of Cobble Flats and Forget-Me-Not Pond. Throughout K-Country, numerous trails entice visitors to explore the magnificent region year round.
