Bragg Creek is the gateway to Kananaskis Country. From gentle foothills to craggy mountain peaks this 4,000 square-mile recreation area has something for everyone.
A visitor’s information centre, just west of Bragg Creek, along Highway 66, offers a host of information about camping, picnic and hiking trails in the area.
Further, along Highway 66 is the breath-taking Elbow Falls. Bordered by jutting rocks and forests of pine and spruces, the falls attract visitors throughout the year.
Enjoy the popular trail and picnic areas — you really can get your kicks along Highway 66.
Although partly closed in the winter, the entire highway is partly open from early June to the beginning of December, making for a scenic drive as it climbs steadily into the mountains before descending to the picturesque picnic spots of Cobble Flats and Forget-Me-Not Pond.
Throughout K-Country, numerous trails entice visitors to explore the magnificent region year round.
