Art festival fans have brush in hand

They do things in Bragg Creek.

The second annual Bragg Creek Art Festival is more than just looking and enjoying art, it’s about grabbing a brush, a palette and getting down to strokes.

The festival runs Sept. 29 to Oct. 8 at various venues — including the best studio in the world, the great outdoors.

The fun gets started with a reception on Friday, Sept. 29.

Then Ma Nature gets involved.

A pair of plein air painting sessions will take place at Elbow Falls, Forget Me Not Pond, McLean Pond and other scenic locations on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.

There will also be indoor activity and lessons. An instructional workshop will be held on Oct. 2-4 with artist Brent Heighton and Jonn Einerssen. The festivities will conclude with a three-day art sale Oct. 5-8 at the Bragg Creek Community Centre.
